These brilliant aliens could've had the classroom all set up, ready for the mice to learn.
And they never disclosed any issues on backward writing in the film. I think it's a huge flaw.
But those flaws weren't as bad as the film not having an ending, and didn't answer the big questions in the film. Who, how, why? etc... they just took the needle off the record and thought it would be cool to wrap the film early. Mega flaws.

These aliens can see to the future, they knew that their method would work
The film did have a big ending, a huge one, so many surprises, I don't think you understand the ending or else you would not be saying that, I don't want to explain by giving spoilers now to others
