ESPN is in serious trouble. The future of their networks is in question with the consumer push for channel choice. Right now ESPN accounts for about $5 per month of every cable TV bill. So they have to become desirable in some other way (politics is obviously their choice) to stay alive after the cable channel unbundling happens.
