Trump didn't do anything.
And as I've said several times and you KNOW if you have watched any news at all...Trump fired Flynn for lying to Pence about it.
And they aren't "hiding" anything.
As for the Washington Post...first of all they are one of two newspapers (the other being the New York Times) that came right out in the campaign and proclaimed that they weren't even going to pretend to be unbiased journalists and are actively working AGAINST Trump.
Further...if you read the CNN report it says:
"The FBI rejected a recent White House request to publicly knock down media reports about communications between Donald Trump's associates and Russians known to US intelligence during the 2016 presidential campaign, multiple US officials briefed on the matter tell CNN.
But a White House official said late Thursday that the request was only made after the FBI indicated to the White House it did not believe the reporting to be accurate."

In other words Trump asked HIS FBI if they would go public with the fact that the FBI thinks the reporting is erroneous

BUT...that is from more of The New York Times and Washington Post and CNN's so-called "unidentified sources".
NOT any actual FBI source. Just the "big three" anti-Trump media outlets "reporting" what they "heard" from "unidentified sources" and "multiple officials".
So we don't even know if THAT much is really true.
Why on Earth would "multiple officials" who work for Trump tell CNN anything at all? Did you even consider that?
If they did, it will cost them their jobs when Trump finds out who did it.
