ergo it's a 'Black' film for 'Black' people, right? Irrationally imposed upon white peeps like some sort of penance?
love how history written by white peeps is 'history', movies filled with and produced by white peeps are 'movies', schools filled with white teachers teaching history written by whites is 'education'.
pure and non-biased of course. not tainted in any way by that 'correctness' that presumes that white experience isn't the be all and end all of human experience?
heavens to Betsy/Samantha someone depicts a POV that isn't lily white. nothing a paleface could relate to there, not like the film could be judged on the merit of human experience or anything
true story: a Queens university classroom with a bunch of white women objecting to the fact that the booklist and curriculum of a women's studies class included quote/unquote "too many Native and Black women authors"
they wanted to learn about women, not any of that bothersome stuff
