You do realize that those numbers you keep showing do NOT show the millions of people who simply have given up looking for work?

The Labor Force Participation numbers show the exact true amount of people qualified to be in the work force (not retirees, not children, etc.)

The numbers you are showing are the ones the Feds changed the algorithm for during the beginning of the Obama administration.

The new algorithm doesn't count the people who are not "actively seeking work".
Now how the govt. decides whether you are "actively seeking work" is kind of a mystery.

But that is the way it works now. The unemployment numbers are not accurate. They tell a PARTIAL story. The story of how many people who are "actively looking for work" are employed.
The rest of the story is told by the Labor Force Participation numbers...and those are the ones that Presidents, Senators, and Congressman REALLY look at in assessing the economy.

Up until a few years ago...the number showed all the qualified work force and how many were employed in that total number.

Do you understand? The numbers you are being fed are not accurate. That's why you are incredulous when people claim otherwise.

Do some research. Don't just try to find stuff that agrees with your mindset. Look for the truth in the matter. It's real easy to find out.

Here are some ideas for you:
Google this phrase:
"who is counted in unemployment rate"

Google this one:
"definition of labor force"

And google this one:
"actual people in labor force unemployed"

Open your mind and take into account that you may have been misled by the politicians and media outlets you trusted in.
