Matter of fact, Congress and the Senate weren't even ALLOWED to see the ObamaCare bill until AFTER they voted it into law.

Remember Pelosi famously saying: "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it"?

No drama, no political grandstanding. It was passed without being read by the Democrats in the Senate and the House without a single Republican vote for it.

Nobody had the chance to grandstand because they didn't have a clue what was in it.

Probably one of the biggest derelictions of duty in the history of our govt.
Especially as it impacted 1/6th of our economy.

Yeah...AFTER it was voted into law...THEN the Republicans rightfully raised hell.

And two years later...the beginning of the end for the Democrat Party started in the 2010 election as they began losing seats.

Pres. Obama had promised that the writing of the health care law was going to be televised LIVE on CSPAN and that there would be a website with daily updates and the bill laid out for people to read AS it was being written.
That turned out to all be lies as we know now. The whole thing was written in total secrecy and never vetted by our elected representatives beforehand.

That's why the thing has failed so spectacularly. The math was insane.
