The 4:30 a.m.. vote was because they actually worked for once:
"In epic sessions that began Wednesday morning, Ways and Means worked till nearly 4:30 a.m. EST before approving the final batch of tax provisions in a party-line 23-16 vote."
That's from CBS News by the way. I only post liberal-biased news organizations to keep the snowflakes happy.
All-nighters produce first win for House GOP health care bill as opposition mounts - CBS News
And contrary to the title of this thread...it didn't matter if they did the vote at 4:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.
The Republicans hold the big majority in Congress. They could pass that at any time day or night and there isn't a thing the Democrats can do about it.
Just the way the Democrats did in 2009 with ObamaCare. (except the Democrats didn't even get to READ their bill)
The way the title of this thread reads...it insinuates that they snuck around to do it.
NO.
The session started the morning before and they worked round the clock on it. Both Democrats (who all voted against it) and Republicans (who all voted for it).
Everyone was there, and everyone knew what was happening and it was covered closely by the media.
Whether you like what they did or didn't like what they did...that's the FACTS.
