My salute to MOJOHost
Yeah, I know, I have M3server in my signature and I am personally a very loyal M3server customer. They have taken care of me for 13 or 14 years now.
However, I have clients and I work on those client's servers. I have had the very fortunate experience of usually having clients that believe in good infrastructure so they usually have servers with some classy companies.
I have worked on servers from Cyberwurx, they did a good job in my opinion. I have worked on servers from NatNet and they did a good job in my opinion.
For the past few years I have worked on MOJOHost servers and as far as I am concerned they have some of the best support I have ever encountered (and I have been around a good long time so I have done a bunch of encountering, let me tell you). Their hardware has have been reliable as all hell and I can get support on the phone 24/7. That's important because we run a ton of custom programs, all written by me and when I fuck up I usually do it big time.
Yesterday, when calling in to support, I wasn't listening to the phone tree map because I was studying a mysql issue that I was calling support about. Apparently I hit a wrong button and a voice came on and said "Hi, this is Brad, may I help you". I kind of stammered around for a few seconds and finally said, "you aren't Brad Mitchell?" And he replied, "Yes, I am". I apologized for hitting the wrong button but chatted with Brad for a few minutes.
So, now I also know that if I needed to, on a Sunday night, I could get a hold of the owner of the company. There aren't a whole lot of companies like that around.
Anyway, that is my salute to MOJOHost, a stand up company run by stand up people and doing a great job in my opinion.
