Maybe this guy just became an adult webmaster in the past 2 years or so, in which case 5K is pretty fucking good compared to what a lot of others are making. In the late 90s it was easy to make 5K/month but today a lot of webmasters can't pay their rent with what they make in this biz. If you didn't get into the biz back then, the odds are SIGNIFICANTLY stacked against you. Here are some things to consider:

(1) He has reached a milesotone and is proud of that. Assuming you make more than 5K per month (and that IS an assumption), do you remember how good you felt when you reached that milestone? How would you feel if someone told you what you accomplished wasn't worth shit?

(2) He is HAPPY with what he is making. Maybe you wouldn't be happy with 5K per month but I know a hell of a lot of people in the REAL world who would kill for that. Shit! A lot of people are working jobs they HATE just to make HALF that! My dad never made more than 50K per year and he worked his ASS off.

(3) If 5K per month is the MOST he has made up to this point, he should be commended for this, not ridiculed. The VAST majority of webmasters I know aren't making NEARLY what they made two years ago.

Instead of putting someone down for making 5K per month, you should be thanking your lucky star (assuming, as I am, that you are making more than 5K per month). VERY FEW people get to do what they love, work at home, and make a bundle of $$ in the process.

PM2, Congrats on the milestone, PM2. You are well on your way to total financial freedom. Whatever you're doing, you're doing it RIGHT, whatever the FUCK asswipes like 'why' might tell you. A lot of adult webmasters have come and gone in this biz over the past few years, and most of them never made CLOSE to what you're making now. Keep building, keep dreaming, keep coming up with new ideas.
