The man beard nonsense is the new 'thing' because of all the obesity in this country.

A majority of these men growing beards that long are to cover their pudgy puffy fat double chins due to their weight problems. Vanity + obesity = longer beards.

Sure, there some regular men doing it, there are always sheep following the trend, but most are overweight vain morons that are covering up their obesity just for a few more years until they turn into full blown pigs.
