Please tell me exactly how you get a 1000 MW per hour all night from a solar plant after dark, or continuous 24-7 power from wind? The best solar can do is hook up a giant system of storage tanks filled with hazardous molten chemicals to power a small steam plant for a few hours after sunset.

If you look at societal impact, ALL electrical production has risks. Nuclear has it's radiation risk, solar panels use dangerous materials in their semiconductors, wind is noisy and endangers birds, hydro has dam failures, coal (even clean coal) is filthy and emits more radiation than a nuclear plant.
