The key here is that they don't listen, there is no recourse, and all decisions, which are completely opaque, are "final".

With that going on it is simply a matter of time.

About 8 months ago, my merchant account cut me off because of an error they made. It took me three days and tearing them a lot of new assholes, but they finally admitted their mistake. It had to go up to their highest level agents, of which there are only 12. They refunded me over 650 in fees.

Now if Paypal makes a mistake, as every financial institution I have ever dealt with regularly does, they have no way to allow the customer to participate in the correction of it. I don't care how big or innovative you are or how much market share you have. A bad business model is a bad business model.
