Very slowly we've been adding troop INTO Syria. It started with 1500, then another thousand, then another 200 this weekend. Most of these seem to be US Marines. No one is paying attention to this, and it has the potential to cause huge problems. The target is ISIS, but there are multiple groups in Syria fighting Assad or ISIS or each other, then there is Assad and the Syrian troops, and then of course the Russians. But of course Trump has a secret plan and "knows better than the generals".

Obama was handling this properly. We were bombing them from a distance, no harm to our troops, while training the Iraqis to handle this themselves. This was a win win strategy that was working.
