I find nothing wrong with immigrants. As long as the same rules apply to them as apply to me.
And the politicians own up to their rhetoric.
If Americans were flocking to Canada to work for $1cad a hour virtually tax free, how much do you think your job would pay ?
I have a funny suspicion you would look at it a bit different if someone could afford work for half your wage and do it tax free.
The question is not a immigration issue. It is a tax fairness issue.
I pay for all these nice things that makes it profitable for them to take my job or keep my wage down.
I pay for the roads and infrastructure that makes it feasible and profitable to do business here.
And the politicians are behold-ant to who ?
They wish to allow a foreign company to seize my land for others to make a profit ?
Do they even pay property taxes on the value of the pipeline ? At the same time will anyone devalue my property taxes cause nobody wants to live or farm next to one ?
