We are indeed which is the problem. Instead of living as one with nature, we think we are separate from it and can do what ever we want. Ownership of the earth belongs to every living thing that evolved on this planet. We have stolen the entire world and are in the process of destroying it.
I certainly hope we destroy ourselves before we wipe everything out. Either way, life will go on long after our species is gone and the last human draws their last breath...
