PS - there was a good history channel show about the office of the presidency...it is a perk of his job...he goes where he wants, taxpayers pay. both presidents take nice advantage. the obamas certainly did. nobody cared when michelle took extended globe trotting vacations costing taxpayers millions. you only care now because you hate trump. |
I'm not talking about the Obamas or Hilary because that is not what I'm concerned about right now. They are no longer in power. If you want to start investigations into their actions, then by all means, protest and petition for that to happen. Trump would likely be happy to get those started.
I understand that taxpayers pay for the protection of the president and his family. However, there has never been a billionaire president before. There has also never been a president with such a frequently traveling family or a wife and child who didn't share a residence with him. These are extraneous costs that are far beyond the scale of anything previously considered "normal." If he truly cared about his citizens, he would offer to cover the cost himself.
