I went through the spin cycle at pipeline/backdoor and was pretty close to running out of air when I finally made it to the surface. But when I got to the beach, Nia Peeples didn't come riding up on a horse to see if I was okay. That was about 20 years ago, but I can't think of anything recently that scared the shit out of me.
But even at that time I didn't think about being scared...it was only survival on the brain. When something like that happens, you get scared afterwards.
