Perhaps it's the signature on the back that is the issue? My bank makes me sign USD cheques when I deposit them, in the endorsement area on the back. It's part of the teller's checklist.

I signed on the back too like a regular check, with also my bank account info like any other check in France.

Yes in my message exchange with javbucks staff, they told me that they moved to another bank and they can't access to old check archives.
I was able to get a paypal payment for another check I received later (and didn't send to the bank this time) so I don't have any complain about javbucks.
