And yeah...If you could make millions just talking to politicians from other countries and telling them what you think the politicians in Washington are thinking...then hell yes. You would be a fool not to take that easy money.
In Manafort's case however...he is a political campaign consultant. He is one of those overpriced "experts" that all the politicians who LOST to Trump used.
Trump only hired the guy when he was pressured by the media to get a "professional" running his campaign.
Remember? CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc., etc. all kept running story's back in the beginning of 2016 saying that Trump's campaign was "imploding" and that he needed to fire Corey Lewandowski and hire a "real" campaign manager.
I remember it well. Watching CNN in the morning of the day Trump hired Manafort and watching Chris Cuomo proclaim that Trump now had a professional and an "adult" running his campaign.
He was hired as a guy who could "corral" delegates for Trump. Remember?
He had all the connections nationwide with the Republican Party to make sure that no delegates jumped ship before the RNC convention.
Manafort was previously an adviser to the U.S. presidential campaigns of Republicans Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bob Dole.
So he had a long history of doing this (Rochard will probably claim that Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Dole are all Russian spies now too).
And the big "controversy" is that he worked on the Ukraine Presidential campaign of Viktor Yanukovych in 2004 and again in 2010.
Newsflash: That's his "job". He works on campaigns for politicians all over the world. Just like all of us, he works where the money is.
Anyway, he worked for Trump for FOUR MONTHS. And in August of 2016 his job was done. The RNC convention took place and Trump's delegates all remained loyal.
Trump then let him go and Kelly Anne Conway took over the campaign.
The media immediately began saying that Trump's campaign was in "turmoil" and even Hillary Clinton said to Trump during the debate that his campaign was "imploding"
Remember?
A few weeks later...Trump was President. LOL!
Seems like the media and many anti-Trump losers on GFY seem to forget all of these things and have no real knowledge of how the world works.
