Explains some of the delay for sure!
Well it seems that if i open your site in a clean browser it does open a little faster.
I use privacy-badger in FireFox and it doesnt like your site.
Than again, as my sites work again, yours could be too.. 0_o
Or do i overcomplicate things now?!
Can i ask do you use Json or XML?
