I might be wrong, but it seems like this NSA software that was leaked by hackers (and now available to anyone) can get into any Windows machine prior to Win10. Seems like (and again I don't know) this NSA software wouldn't be stopped by a simple firewall.
They always said it would be governments that ruin the internet....
