I don't see anything wrong with it if both parties knew in advance what the deal was and if both parties stick to the deal. If one party pushes things after the agreements made then that's not cool and they deserve what they get.
Free drinks, free place to stay if you want to pay rent and pay for your drinks then do and don't put out in exchange.
