Something that always gets me with all these big settlements companies pay.. The money always gets handed over to the govt and never ends up back into the hands of the people affected. Seems it will be different with the VW settlement..

Part of their fine, will be investing 2 billion dollars in fast charge systems for electric cars. They will be building them mostly in Cali but will also be country wide along major highway routes. VW will not own the systems, so it's not a profit maker disguised as a fine for them..
