the hiroshima bomb had 13 kilotonns - in the 60s the bombs have been meassured already in megatonns and the explosive power of today's bombs is in the gigatonns range.

because of the so called overkill-strategy the existing nuclear power is theoreticly able to kill 100 BILLION people (so 92 billion more as exist).
Still the megaton range. The largest one ever detonated was by the Soviets and it was 50 megatons. The avg Nuke in our arsenal are 1 to 5 megatons.
