It was completely bare cinder block walls and concrete floor (i think it's called "shell and core" in english?). I hired a designer, but I did give him very precise guidelines on what I wanted. We scrapped a few things - we were going to do these industrial looking black pipes all over to carry around AC and ventilation but ended up doing two small ac wall units instead.

It was originally built in the 19th century and was part of a sugar factory called "Zuckerfabrik Gross Mochbern" when Wroclaw was part of Germany (Breslau). Most of the sugar factory was demolished in the 1930s
