Saudi Arabia executes people for drug crimes. From Jan-May of 2015 alone they execute 84 people for drug crimes. These people didn't get a trial. They were arrested and beheaded, in some cases publicly.

Guess what has happened in that country? Drug use, especially among young people, has actually gone up.

Executing addicts won't work and, frankly, is a stupid idea.
