In my life, I have known several people who have had pit bulls. In most of the cases, they were amazing dogs. Fun, smart, playful, affectionate. Everything you want in a pet. Those dogs were also raised well in good families. Sure, they had the physical ability to cause serious damage, but these dogs were lovers, not fighters. I have, sadly, also known a few assholes with pits. A guy I used to live across the street had a couple of pits. He was one of those white trash guys who thought having a couple of badass dogs made him tough. He would love it when the dogs would rush the fence, snarling and growling at people walking by. Those are the kind of dogs that one day eat your kid.
