Yes. The animals themselves and the way they are farmed + transportation are all big contributors to global warming. It's an issue that needs to be addressed.

People can already do their part by buying "Energy Star" or other certified energy efficient devices.
If your electricity comes from hydro, solar, wind or nuclear, you're doing ok. If your electricity is coming from coal, you can pressure your local government to explore alternatives. You can even do like Rochard did and install solar panels.

A big problem with a shit-ton of waste to be sure. You can help by buying computers from companies that have a good recycle program (Dell, Apple, etc).

Airplanes, like busses are already a very efficient way to get people from point A to point B. Being more efficient would be better for the planet and save the companies some money too.

Yes. If you need personal transportation, electric cars are the way to go. If you have to buy a gas car, look for a hybride. If you want a super-fast car, get a Tesla Model S.
If you want a V8 Sports car like a Camaro or Mustang, go for it.
Wait, what? Yes! Go for it. They're super fun to drive, and modern ones don't drink nearly as much gas as they used to, but still deliver 400+hp. I'm green, but fuck I love the new Camaros still. So knock yourself out.
