I spent 1,5 month in Indonesia years ago. Also among Indonesian muslims (but not from banda aceh..but also from sumatra). very friendly people and also polite, nobody is stupid enough to get angry and lose face...(south east asia style).
I also been two times to Morocco and... also nothing wrong happened to me. Also nice people (especially on the south of Morocco) - yet they dont have problems with showing bad emotions and getting angry in public
. In the tourist places and on the coast - Tanger, Asilah - little different..many of them seemed to understand better harsh manners and strong language, if you showed that you are weak/ unsure they would gladly exploit you (like dogs
) strange...like proximity to Europe or just living in Europe would change them into something worse.
There are good people and bad people everywhere, sad that some of them (many young Moroccans for example) take being bad/rude as good example and role model in society..lack of proper education and values I guess
