You're right, it is no different. Emperor's did it to keep the masses happy and let them stay in power for as long as they gave it away. See a coincidence with dems and illegal immigrants? They need their votes, simple as that. It's ok though, Amazon is now offering prime for 5.99 a month for those on Wic, SNAP, welfare etc.........so they can buy more useless things.
