Another loser - John McCain. I mean WTF? I'm a conservative but the man has lost his damn mind. He needs to retire like Feinstein did when she got this old. He is no help to either party at the moment. His aides had to clarify his whole line of questioning today. Watching it was almost surreal. He was so crazy.

The smoking gun was always if Trump lied or not when he fired Comey.. Will his testimony mean impeachment.. If anyone thought that they were stupid, because Republicans will use every excuse in the book to not do that..
Now here is where you are not thinking things out.. We saw the "public hearing".. There was also a closed hearing right after that were the real evidence would be heard.
The point you are missing here, is yes Comey told Trump that he wasn't a target at "that time", however Trump firing Comey and then publicly admitting he did it to ease the Russian investigation means Trump is now a target in a obstruction of justice case as it was also confirmed Sessions is now part of one.
You seem to have forgotten that because of Trump firing Comey, there is now a special prosecutor. The Special prosecutor happened "BECAUSE TRUMP FIRED COMEY"..
ie if you haven't got it yet, the entire fact that there is now a special prosecutor means Trump is now under investigation for obstruction of justice and Trump has already publicly admitted to obstructing justice.
You don't seem to understand today's hearing was about if Trump attempted to obstruct justice when he fired Comey. It wasn't about the Russian investigation, it was to find out what him and Comey had talked about leading up to him being fired..
