You are trying to equate the past as if it would be the same today despite the advancement of technology that has made today what it is..
It's like trying to say GM would still be building cars with chrome bumpers and v8's if the speed limit was still 55mph..
One has nothing to do with the other..
Also you had maybe 1 or 2 films at a time and a handful of girls making that.. Now it's thousands and thousands of film and girls earning.
More money is, made now, it's just spread out across more hands..
If porn was illegal here, it would be made elsewhere and accessed by the internet with out paying just like what happens in countries where it's illegal now..
