£800,000,000 for 10,000 means paying the 10,000 officers only £16,000 a year over the five years of the parliament. The starting salary for police constables in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is between £19,383 and £22,962.
The £800,000,000 doesn't cover wages, uniforms and equipment or extra costs when the start working, such as the cost of arresting more people.
Housing wasn't included in the costings, claiming it was a capital expenditure and would pay for itself. They planned to build houses for £100,000. That's impossible. Even so with rents of £1,000 per week it would take 20 years to repay the initial costs. Add interest, administration and upkeep the figures are clearly stupid.

She will be gone by September but the problems the UK has will still be there. The basis of those problems is, not enough well-paid private sector jobs in companies making profits to support a population of 65 million.
The cost of the Welfare State is growing by the day and stupid promises from Jezz wouldn't make it stop growing. In fact he would increase the cost.
