I can't even imagine what would happen to ANY business if it were stuck into a "blind trust" and left to rot for years.

Especially when he has his family running the business anyway. (just like the Kennedy family did).
Why on Earth would you want to destroy a lifetime's achievement just to make some politicians happy (and destroying Trump is exactly what would make them happy).

I wouldn't do it. It's not any law that says he has to. If there were such a law he probably wouldn't even have run and we could all consign ourselves to always having un-exceptional Presidents for the rest of history.

As it stands now...the very best and brightest can still run for President (even though the media and the bureaucrats have done their best to brainwash people into thinking it's impossible for anyone but corrupt politicians to do it)
just because its not illegal doesnt mean its proper. it simply creates obvious conflicts of interest. Why could not the trump organization be turned over, temporarily, to a blind trust where trustees run it? its not like it will go broke without him. He's not losing the business, just eliminating the conflict of interest by letting others run it. the fucking thing runs itself anyway.

im not happy with some of his personal decisions, even if they are "legal". ivanka really should not be in the west wing. nepotism is natural in the private sector, looks not so good in the public sector. how much is she making off taxpayers, & doing what exactly? & too much golf.

but i love how he makes liberals insane.
