Ideas do matter. Ideas can change the world. However, this isn't an issue of ideas. This is a mental health issue. This guy was crazy and he chose to act out. We as individuals are responsible for our own behavior. The hate the left is throwing at Trump has nothing to do with this guy acting out just like the hate the right threw at Obama had nothing to do with Dylan Roof acting out.
What am I arguing? I am arguing that one of the biggest problems with politics in this day and age is that there are some people who can turn anything into politics. When bad things happen like this it isn't because one party or the other is in the White House, it is because sometimes crazy people do crazy shit.
