I recall one of Hefner's playmates was convicted of attempted murder back in 2011. Think she was playmate of the year in the late 60s (1968?). Jay Leno did an episode on Jay's Garage of her restored pink AMX playmate car she was given.
Story goes that she used a handgun that was given to her 40 years earlier by Roman Polanski after he feared for her life after the Manson clan murdered his wife Sharon Tate (a friend of the playmate).
