Not everyone in Canada is liberal. I identify as liberal, while my loving brother is 100% hardcore gun-slinging conservative.
Canada has roughly the same Libberal / Conservative split that you guys do. Trudeau is our current PM, but we had a conservative (Harper) in power for 8 years before him.
