It wasn't taxpayer dollars. It was a loan guarantee program.
It wasn't a billion dollars. It was $535 Million.
It wasn't a scam, it was a start-up that went bankrupt.
The Energy Policy act of 2005 contains a loan program for clean-energy companies developing new technologies. Solyndra's loan guarantee was actually under Obama's 2009 stimulus for companies to develop commercial technologies.
The Obama program helped 40 other projects at a cost of about $36 Billion.
If you're going to to "yell" on a forum about whatever you believe in, it helps to at least get some of the details right.
