If NK tried to lob one at the USA, there's a chance you might be able to get it, do not think for a second that's 100% certainty, Its going to take 30-60 minutes to hit you, so you can have multiple shots so that's really your only advantage.
THAAD deployment in Sk is under the disguise its protecting them, and it won't, its not made for that job or capable of it. Hence why they all want it out of their region its just making the situation worse.
