I'm no rocket scientist, but from what I understand with any projectile, if you can get it high enough, which NK did, the effort to push it any where around the globe is relatively easy, the hard part is that initial thrust.

be very clear all NK has to do is land one anywhere in the USA, specific target not needed for the damage to be done, just a hit. and its a 10million km sq target. All they need to do is point it in your direction and hit fire.

Japanese did it with hot air balloons in ww2...
