I don't think feeding news organizations faked information is anything new in the world, its up to the actual news agency to verify it and then decide if they print.
That video is more of a heads up to those producing it, than to those receiving it.
My call on it would be she just shot herself and anyone else using the same fingerprinting, in the foot.
