Russia can only own Trump so long as Trump hides things and they know about it which gives them leverage. This is the problem, we have no idea if Russia "owns" Trump because Trump does everything possible including lying to hide things.
This means we have to assume he has reason to hide things. We already know he's willing to lie about ridiculously simple things, so why not also illegal things? He lied about this very meeting as did Pence...
Do I think Trump is giving Russians our nuclear codes or stealth bomber blueprints? No.. but pressure can be applied against him in negotiations which allows Russia to have a "Trump card" against us.. Every time they pull out their Trump Card they now have added leverage because he has more to hide. It's something that can not be allowed to go on..
Trump and his admin have to be removed because they can not be trusted. This includes Pence because Pence also lied about this meeting..
To even further add to this problem is Trump has the ability to have financial gain from people attempting to negotiate with him on the US's behalf. Trump has already attempted to trash our own govt institutions so why would he care if we getting a shitier deal but in the background he is making a financial gain for himself?
We already see things like foreign govt booking rooms/conventions at Trump properties where they used other places prior. We saw his daughter suddenly get trade marks approved in China.. All this stuff is done because they want something in return.. It's called corruption..
