This "meeting" was at the big dinner for the leaders of the G20 and their wives.
No other "officials" are even allowed at this dinner. And each country is allowed ONE translator.
Trump's translator was an English/Japanese translator and useless for the conversation with Putin.
This all happened at the dinner table with every leader and their wives seeing it in full view.
