The Mexican people are fucking GREAT at that. My family owned citrus groves in Florida and employed hundreds of "illegal immigrants" who came in for "picking season".
This was back in the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. I can remember my Grandfather showing me a weekly paycheck for over $2,000 he paid to just ONE worker back in the 1970's.
That was a fucking FORTUNE to be making in a week back then. They were paid by the tub of oranges they picked. And trust me....I took a shot at doing it myself thinking I would be able to easily outwork the Mexicans and make a fortune from my grandad.
I worked my ass off in the hot sun and ended up making a little over $60 for the week (which wasn't bad in the late 1970's in central Florida).
I don't know why or how the Mexican workers were so damn efficient and good at picking fruit...but they are.
I'm not saying it's a "racial" thing...probably more cultural. It's just the way it is. In general, the Mexican's can outwork most anybody in agriculture.
Hardest working people I've ever known.

over here in Germany it's the polish field workers
they tried to replace them with unemployed germans - because this is what you try when everybody is screaming "the foreigners take my job away" - it was a disaster.
hardly anybody showed up at all, the rest quit after a day or two cause the work was too hard for lazy unemployed germans
so we're back at hiring polish people to pick strawberries and stuff
