The Polish gov't wanted to make the appointment of supreme court judges done by the gov't, so the german-owned media starts this slander campaign that there's as assassination on democracy in Poland. The irony? It's done exactly the same way in Germany.
About a year ago same shit. The media in poland is like 90% owned by Foreign companies (mostly german). The gov't wanted to make a law that no more then 49% of a media company can be foreign owned. Again - all the tv stations and news sites up in arms. "Attack on freedom of the press!" they'd shout. The irony? Germany has such a law.
It's basically foreign owned media vs the polish gov't because they won't follow the narrative and are trying to gain more independance.

A dictatorship is NOT "independence"
