BTW: Even during slavery there were many Americans who opposed it and were not racist. No country can be racist or not racist because countries are made up of people. There will always be racists and those who are more tolerant and accepting. The only real issue is what % is which, that's all.

you should review what you wrote because specifically you said only racists say the country is not racist. ergo, you said i was a racist.
if you want to take subtle acts of bias from anecotal situations, & claim the entire country as a whole, is racist, in light of obama being elected & re-elected, then i have no response to you. seem to be using a very hair trigger definition of racism to paint the whole country racist because some white women in manhattan dont get out of the way for the black guy at the NYTimes.
