Considering the date of the video,
would anyone have the thought that the reason for a noticeable decline was the ability of the BANKING SYSTEM to make risky loans in tech ???

Gee, I did and was subject to it personally.
Folks with much higher credit viability were denied.
It almost bankrupted the US Auto Industry if you need a clear example. They need a yearly reinvestment for each new model year.

Nobody would extend credit to GM and Chrysler but Ford had already obtained their loans just before the collapse.
