There is just nothing to this at all. This is something that only red hat Republicans rant about.
It's just like the "unmasking". Republicans try to make this out as something that is bad, or unethical, but it isn't. The "masking" is meant to protect innocent Americans who get caught up in the intelligence dragnet because they made a simple phone call or whatever. Meaning... If I call a company in Russia and have a business phone call there they mask my name because there is no reason for anyone to have it. However, if someone calls Russia and discusses rigging an election or another crime, that name would be unmasked. It's not even something that should be open to discussion.
