You need to understand that without the TPP we have no effective bargaining with all of Asia, which puts the world's largest economy at a complete disadvantage. This also allowed China to take charge of collective bargaining for ALL of Asia.

You can't compete with countries that have a much lower workforce than yours. The effects of this are why wages are stagnating. Removing the one thing that protects your country from this isn't a good thing. What needs to be done is to impose a higher tariff on countries like Mexico, Vietnam Brunei, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Peru, Singapore, etc.
