Slavery, in and of itself, is something nobody really has problem with. Its common to this day in Africa, and nobody raises an eyebrow. Black-on-black slavery is a-ok
Even white-on-white slavery, no problem there. Irish were brought to the USA as slaves by the boatload. Again, its perfectly fine, nobody raises an eybrow.
Its only when slavery is done for racist reasons, by one race to oppress another race (white-on-black) it becomes the evil institution that we all know and hate today.
A few years ago, the source of all racism was finally positively identified and banned in the USA (the confederate flag) and this was supposed to be the complete end of all racism.
But wait, no it wasn't the confederate flag after all. It was the statues! Why did no one realize this before? So we're now in the process of removing all offensive statues, thereby eliminating every last vestige of racism in the USA.
But wait. Something tells me its not going to end with statues. Just a hunch I have. The White House was built by slaves. The Constitution was written by slave owners. Just about every denomination of money has a slave owner on it. We've barely scratched the surface. Everything must be banned! ONLY THEN we will have a racist-free utopia.

You illustrated the logical conclusion of this stupidity. The only way to please everyone is to erase the whole fucking "tape" and that is not going to happen NOR should it.
We should not be ashamed of where we came from because those were incremental steps in reaching the lofty goals that America has reached. To deny of the links in the chain break it.
Certainly everyone should be included in this country BUT the history that build it and that it is built on should not be revised to fix changing attitudes of the masses as those change mindlessly all the time.
Libs are always living wither with their heads in the clouds...in the sand...or most often shoved up their own asses so they can't see what is really going on. The prefer the happy fantasy of equality instead of the reality that is clear all around them.
Facts are facts and erasing them might make people forget but do not change those facts.
